Does anyone have any experience with the NuVo Music Port as far as streaming DRM files from iTunes? Does it work well? Can DRM files from other PC's be imported into the library and still stream. I am not hip to the limitations of DRM files.

I believe DRM files can only be played from the computer that they are on. I do not know of a music server out there that will play Apple protected music.

Music port uses the computer as the source. The file isn't trasferred or streamed it is played out of the PC's soundcard output. DRM should not come into play.

You're supposed to be able to create a network path so that the MusicPort can play from other computers on the network. The operative word is supposed to. I plan on working on this but have not had the time to figure it out.

The windows media player 11 and Itunes on the server computer can be set to monitor the other folders on the network thus pulling the files from another drive on the network and playing it through the media player 11 mapping, into the music port.

NuvoTech or anyone who can answer this question. If the Music Port is using the the RS232 port on the GrandConcerto or Essentia, is there still a way to control the Nuvo system with a automation controller? I will also be incorporating the AM/FM Tuner and Satellite Radio Tuner.

I would also recommend that you make your itunes folder and your WMP11 the same folder or it will double populate. I found this to be just the opposite. The Music Port software looks at the libraries, not the actual music files.

ONE GOING TO THE CONTROLER AND ONE GOING THROUGH THE MUSIC PORT INTO THE GRAND CONCERTO.
